Jewell Goodnight, Clyde & Vernon’s mother, has almost recovered from her
double pneumonia, but is now having difficulty swallowing. Tests showed that her
neck muscles were lax, and Monday, she will have shock treatments on her neck.
She continues to be weak with little appetite and still cannot sit up or walk.
Let’s keep her in our prayers.
Chad Hanley’s tests showed that he had cancer in the colon. They are
performing surgery Tuesday at Baylor Dallas to remove that part of the colon.
Let’s keep Chad and his family in our prayers.
Jeff Cross has been suffering from severe headaches and dizzy spells. He had
an MRI on Friday and will get the results on Tuesday. Let’s keep him and his
family in our prayers.
Lauren Baxter was in and out of the hospital this past week with appendicitis.
Joe and Lynda Hanle will not be at church this morning due to Lynda has been
sick.
There will be a Anniversary Reception for Ronnie and Jada Royster on Saturday, February 25th here in the activity room from 2:00 - 4:00. Everyone is invited.
Today is 5th Sunday singing which will be in Colbert at 2:00.
We have opened a special account for any of those that would like to make a special contribution toward a building fund.

Jewell Goodnight, Clyde & Vernon’s mother, remains in Rehab and in a lot of pain. She is doing better with her pneumonia and her arm is beginning to heal.
Chad Hanley will be going to the doctor tomorrow to find out more about the
mass that is wrapped around his colon. Let’s keep Chad and his family in our
prayers.
Today is 4th Sunday. We will have donuts at 9:30 followed by morning services. After morning services will be lunch then early afternoon services, approximately 1:15.
There will be a Family Day in Gunter on Saturday, January 28th and Sunday the 29th which will cover family relationships from picking a mate all the way through the sunset years of marriage. Services start a 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and then lunch in Community Center at noon. Saturday afternoon from 2:00 - 4:00, and then evening at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. and then lunch. Evening services at 2:00. Ty Fleming will be holding the services.
The 5th Sunday singing will be in Colbert on the 29th at 2:00.

Wyntelia Tapp had another detached retina, her 3rd one, in the same eye and will have surgery this Tuesday. Let’s keep her in our prayers that this will be the last for her.
Carol Condry had surgery on her leg this past week. She is home doing well.
Samuel Fleming, Leland’s son, had an bicycle accident this past week. He is
now home.
Kathy Flatt, Faye’s daughter-in-law (Kenny’s wife), has re-entered Baylor Hospital.
Jewell Goodnight, Clyde & Vernon’s mother, fell Monday and shattered her
upper arm. Because of multiple breaks and she is 96 years old, the doctors decided it
best not to do surgery to rebuild it. Instead they will just keep it in a sling,
which will be very painful. She has been moved to a rehab facility.
Clarence Waldie, Ronnie Waldie’s father, passed away this past week.
We will celebrate January birthdays tonight immediately following services. Everyone is asked to bring food.
Immediately following the birthday celebration will be the men’s monthly business meeting.

Eugene Fisher was in Baylor Hospital this past week. He had three stints put in his heart. He is now home doing well.
Gerald Hanley was in and out of the hospital this past week with a very low blood count. He received six units of blood.
Joe Hanley was back in and out of the hospital this past week with a blood clot. He is now homne dong well.
Kathy Flatt, Faye’s daughter-in-law (Kenny’s wife), has now been sent home.
Jerry Baker, Robert McFadden’s brother-in-law, is in critical condition in ICU at Washington Regional Hospital. He has a kidney stone that blocked causing him to be septic. Please keep this family in your prayers.
I would like to thank the congregation for the prayers, support, visits, phone calls and flower arrangement during my recent stay in the hospital.
We would like to thank Brad and Catrina and all their helpers for another outstanding job with the New Year’s Eve party last night.
A lot of us, including me, have stored furniture and other things in Tim’s barn. There is things that have been out there 5, 10, & 15 years. Jeromie is needing the barn for other purposes. Tim and Jeromie have no clue what belongs to who. If you have anything in the barn that you want, you need to let Jeromie know by the end of the year because he is either going to sell it or haul it off.

Joe Hanley had shoulder surgery this past week and is now home.
Rick Burridge was in and out of the hospital this past week with surgery. He
had some complications with his surgery.

Thank you so much for the beautiful plant you sent to my mother’s funeral. Thanks, also, to all of you who attended her visitation and funeral. She loved attending the LaPrada Church. Our hearts were made glad with the baptism of Katherine Curtis this past week.
Congratulations to Hailey Hutcheson. She was picked to be Susan in the play, "Miracle on 34th Street". This production will be at Eastfield College.
